2021 – HeartJourney 6 – RUNNERS PRIME

June 1 2021: I am now 1519 Days and still have not missed a day of workout

May was a bear to deal with.  Honestly, it was not really that bad, we just had a bunch of items that we were planning for to get done come due.  We replaced major equipment in our house and had a turnover in a property.  It appears that the summer is gonna be pretty rough, so we have to get our A/C game on point.

Exams are done for the once little girl and major transition has started.  Lots to do here, so I suppose more with come in that domain.  UF all the way right now.  Georgia Tech came back but – no.

On the political scene, things are still happening  – one side remains steadfast in limiting the franchise while the other side continues to be hamstrung with itself to get anything done.  Just a pitiful state – but I am here and will make the most of it.

COVID:  The worry from COVID seems to be subsiding some now.  A majority in the country has now been innoculated.  They are planning for boosters.  Overseas the situation is not as good.  India is going through hell right now and Peru is having a pretty bad time.

Darebee remains a staple in my daily fitness diet.  Things are changing slightly there though.  The Daily Dare is now called “Exercise of the Day”.  That’s ok, it still gets me moving.  I completed Pete’s Plan for rowing a couple weeks ago, so now I am feeling my way forward in the rowing domain.  This month is gonna be pretty interesting.  I will be doing a 30min run every other day, per my DB program, so I have to figure out how I want to row.  I think I will go for 1.2million meters this year.  I originally said 2million, but given the fact that I intend to run over 1200miles as well.  I will just have to balance that out.

(Kept from previous foreword) – Additionally, I have added a couple layers of complexity or demand to my workout.  First, I am religiously sticking to DareBee and the Daily Dare; I am also, keeping the preliminaries.  Second, I have added a consecutive component – so, starting with the end of IronBorn (9 April 2017), I have worked consecutively.  I intend to push for 60 straight day, then see if I can get to 90.  So far I am enjoying it and my body seems to be rising to the occasion.  I caught the flu a few day before the end of the last phase (around May 2017) – I worked through it and was back up in only a couple of days.  It appears pushing through and forcing my body to continue working, I was able to push the flu out of my way.  I am also continuing my virtual push to OKC via Benton.  I am really enjoying that but I will have to pick up the mileage here in the next phase as I am running out of time. Keep leaning forward.
