2018 – InnerPeace 3 – Cardio Trim Run

Feeling a bit like a journeyman now.  I have crossed over into March, after a short (28 day) February.  As of this writing, I have worked out 332 consecutive days.  I am totally acclimated now.  In fact, I am starting to think that I won’t know how to come down from now workout for some many days in a row.  I am not even sure if it is good or bad for you.  I know my muscles are not sore anymore.  Actually, my butt muscles tend to feel a bit sore at times so I just go easy on it.  I am still on hiatus from the guitar until the end of this month, just too much stuff on my plate.   Just closing in on Idaho in my virtual run, I am hoping to get there this month since this is a run intensive program that I am about to embark upon.  Started the step challenge with family but not everyone is putting their toes in.  That’s ok tho, hopefully over time they we see the light.  I will just keep pressing my piece.

(Kept from previous foreword) – Additionally, I have added a couple layers of complexity or demand to my workout.  First, I am religiously sticking to DareBee and the Daily Dare; I am also, keeping the preliminaries.  Second, I have added a consecutive component – so, starting with the end of IronBorn (9 April 2017), I have worked consecutively.  I intend to push for 60 straight day, then see if I can get to 90.  So far I am enjoying it and my body seems to be rising to the occasion.  I caught the flu a few day before the end of the last phase (around May 2017) – I worked through it and was back up in only a couple of days.  It appears pushing through and forcing my body to continue working, I was able to push the flu out of my way.  I am also continuing my virtual push to OKC via Benton.  I am really enjoying that but I will have to pick up the mileage here in the next phase as I am running out of time. Keep leaning forward.

– This is first day for Carbon and Dust.  I wanted to rule in April so I double pumped today – Check!.

That was a fricking intense push of 200 HK; it did get the pumper going – Check!.

: One more day to close out Cardio Trim Run.  Pretty low intensity day mainly jumping jacks and knees to elbows; no sweat
– DareBee Exercise (Day 29): “Circuit” – As mentioned about low impact.  I like it tho, it is giving my hip and shoulder time to recover – Check!.

: Really did not feel too bad today.  Not much impact on my shoulder and hip.  Still a bit of ache when I push it but it doesn’t last – Check!.

: Overall not a bad day.  It was mainly an easy push day – sort of a rest day and I took full advantage.

: Pretty cool workout today.  It was not easy, it pushed me a bit to the hilt, but watching CrossFit has help with my fitness level.

: Completed my workout extremely early.  I have even gotten my steps in well before 1400.  Just chilling now.

– Summary
: The last few days I have been a bit sore, but since today was a light day, it feel much better; yaaay for recovery day.
– DareBee Exercise (Day 4): ” Side Leg Raises” – Are you serious right now, I eat this for breakfast   – Check!.
– Daily Dare (233): “50 Knee to Elbow Twists– Very different but I like it.  Shrugs are not really that much of a problem for me anymore – Check!.

– Cardio (Mixed: Steps/Run): 8.50 @ 120.055min (Sore is ok…)
– Summary
: Pretty good workout day.  Felt a bit weak, as tho I am coming down with the cold or something.  Body is fighting something.
– DareBee Exercise (Day 3): ” RecRun/Abs” – I took it easy on the recovery run, but it felt hard, generally though, it was an easy workout – Check!.
– Daily Dare (233): “40 Squat and Step Back– Very different but I like it.  Shrugs are not really that much of a problem for me anymore – Check!.
– Baseline:  Pretty matter of fact here as well, just push through it.  Leg are a bit achy but I will manage – Check!.
– Distance:  Added  8.50 mi to my total on my way to Boise.

– Summary
: Relatively early workout.  Finished up well before 3pm.  This week I am gonna try to push for that and see how it works out.
– DareBee Exercise (Day 2): ” Runner Prime/UpperBody” – Switched it around but still got a good workout; legs feel a bit achy; not sure why – Check!.
– Daily Dare (232): “20 Scapula Shrugs” – This is a bit unassuming.  It is not easy at all and if you have shoulder issue it could be a bear – Check!.
– Baseline:  No issues in this department – Check!.
– Distance:  Added  9.00 mi to my total on my way to Boise.

: Purdy interesting first day kicking off Cardio Trim Run (CTR).  Somehow I make fewer steps when I run even though I expend more.
– DareBee Exercise (Day 1): ” Power Run/Circuit” – Not too bad.  I basically ran at level 7 through the first part; the second was very easy  – Check!.
– Daily Dare (232): “40 Folded Crunches – Not that bad.  It was a bit of a struggle getting legs to stay down, but it went ok – Check!.
– Baseline:  Push through matter of factly; no issues – Check!.
– Distance:  Added  9.10 mi to my total on my way to Boise.
