A New Year has dawned…time to get to work

At this point I am 1002 Days without a workout break. I am in great shape.  My eating pattern is great.  I typically fast for most of the day and then eat voraciously starting late afternoon.  I try not to eat before I workout and that seems to be working for me.  One thing I need to make a part of my regular is the veggie shake – it is so delicious.  Meditation and Daily Philosophical readings are now staples in my life and I love it.  My journaling is not a much as I want to but I am going make it come to me.

So since this is the first day and the first month of  2020 it is special.  I don’t have an overwhelming need to layout any grand declarations.  I have come to believe in equanimity; just keep this on an even keel.  Pay attention to my mind and body through out the year and stick to it and everything will usually fall into place.

I have been having some upper back pain (possibly due to a pinched nerve).  It last for quite a while – I would say about 6 weeks or more.  At this moment, it feels as though it is subsiding.  I got a posture correction brace and a neck brace as well to help.  I am also having some shoulder pain in both shoulder – like due to overuse to be honest.  I am going back to strengthening exercises for them.  That seemed to work the last time I got into this jam.

Still loving on DareBee.  Going strong still.   And still hanging on to the beard despite the push from Grid.  I might be able to keep it  beyond my birthday.  I have stepped up grooming, so we will see.

Chey got her PSAT results back.  She scored in the 98th or 99th percentile, but her NMS score I don’t think is high enough to cut it.  Regarding her SAT; I made the biggest blunder possible.  She was scheduled to take it on December 7th, but unfortunately I did not sign her up.  I thought I did back in July, but I did not.  I felt like ass and still do about it, but I have to try and get pass it.  At any rate she took her first pass at ACT and got a Composite of 27.  Here English was a 33, her Math was a 30 and everything else was in the dumpster.  Not too surprised though.  She had one week to get up to par to take this on top of not getting to take the test she was most prepared for. She will be ok though.  I have largely pull back from aiding her in any way. I am not too please with the fall off in her regular academics, but I have to let her find her own level of comfort so she can work and grow from it.  She is a pretty smart girl – I have confidence in her.

(Kept from previous foreword) – Additionally, I have added a couple layers of complexity or demand to my workout.  First, I am religiously sticking to DareBee and the Daily Dare; I am also, keeping the preliminaries.  Second, I have added a consecutive component – so, starting with the end of IronBorn (9 April 2017), I have worked consecutively.  I intend to push for 60 straight day, then see if I can get to 90.  So far I am enjoying it and my body seems to be rising to the occasion.  I caught the flu a few day before the end of the last phase (around May 2017) – I worked through it and was back up in only a couple of days.  It appears pushing through and forcing my body to continue working, I was able to push the flu out of my way.  I am also continuing my virtual push to OKC via Benton.  I am really enjoying that but I will have to pick up the mileage here in the next phase as I am running out of time. Keep leaning forward.
