2020 – InnerJourney 11 – FIREHEART

November 2020: I am now 1306 Days and still counting without a workout interruption and like I continue to state, it will continue as long as I have the means and wits about me to do it.

So the little girl sent off her application to Harvard.  Just writing those words is pretty heavy.  After all it is just an institution of higher learning.  the difference though is that it does make a difference and it would be wonderful if she gets in.  The question though is – well, I will leave that unsaid – until.   

I am writing these words on election night.  I went to bed with a pretty uneasy feeling, I am hoping when I get up, good things have happened.  We just cannot afford another 4 more years of this hellish existence.

This month was the 10-year anniversary of Aunt Claire’s passing.  I really still miss her so.  As I get older, I realize that you don’t miss those who have gone on before you any less, you don’t cry as much, but your desire for them still burns bright in your hear.

My Ergometer arrives today (Erg is a unit of work in British system).  An erg It is a force of 1 dyne exerted over a distance of 1cm and is equal to 10^-7 Joules or 100 nanojoules (nJ).  A dyne is the force required to accelerate a mass of 1gram over a distance of 1cm.  The unit is centimeter -gram-second (CGS).  The term dyne is derive from the greek dynamis which means force.

It has been a few days now and it has finally been declare – Joe Biden is our new president!  So happy right now.  We have managed to rid ourselves of the great Ignoramus.  I know things won’t go hunky dory, but at least we have a bit of respite to look forward to in the near term.

I continue my love affair with Darebee and as always, I pledge to keep her apart of my day as long as she continues to bare fruit.  She is a part of me.

(Kept from previous foreword) – Additionally, I have added a couple layers of complexity or demand to my workout.  First, I am religiously sticking to DareBee and the Daily Dare; I am also, keeping the preliminaries.  Second, I have added a consecutive component – so, starting with the end of IronBorn (9 April 2017), I have worked consecutively.  I intend to push for 60 straight day, then see if I can get to 90.  So far I am enjoying it and my body seems to be rising to the occasion.  I caught the flu a few day before the end of the last phase (around May 2017) – I worked through it and was back up in only a couple of days.  It appears pushing through and forcing my body to continue working, I was able to push the flu out of my way.  I am also continuing my virtual push to OKC via Benton.  I am really enjoying that but I will have to pick up the mileage here in the next phase as I am running out of time. Keep leaning forward.
