2018 – InnerPeace 1 – WOD

So I have completed a full year of Darebee and have now started a new.  It has truly been an outstanding year in my life.  I have pushed down barrier that I did not know existed for me.  Not I feel as though I have a bit more control of how I treat my body.  I have come to respect it more.  I come to see myself more of a total being – mind and body and the importance of take care of me – totally.  As of this writing, I have workout for  271 consecutive days.and have covered just under 1920 miles.  I so extremely proud of myself for such and accomplishment.  I will not start any new programs this month, as it is a bit hard to focus, especially when you are on the road or moving around, to do so.  I will just do WODs (Workout of the Day) along with Daily Dares to pass this month and then start back with programs in February.

(Kept from previous foreword) – Additionally, I have added a couple layers of complexity or demand to my workout.  First, I am religiously sticking to DareBee and the Daily Dare; I am also, keeping the preliminaries.  Second, I have added a consecutive component – so, starting with the end of IronBorn (9 April 2017), I have worked consecutively.  I intend to push for 60 straight day, then see if I can get to 90.  So far I am enjoying it and my body seems to be rising to the occasion.  I caught the flu a few day before the end of the last phase (around May 2017) – I worked through it and was back up in only a couple of days.  It appears push through and forcing my body to continue working, I was able to push the flu out of my way.  I am also continuing my virtual push to OKC via Benton.  I am really enjoying that but I will have to pick up the mileage here in the next phase as I am running out of time. Keep leaning forward.

:  Extremely early workout today; in fact, I was done with my workout around the 3 O’clock hour – the earliest I have been in a while.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Amazon” – A really good workout.  I like this alot because it gets your thumper going but with little difficulty  – Check!.
– Daily Dare (201): “2min Palm Stikes” –  Easy day nothing really to it – Check!.
– Baseline: Final workout of January.  I could count this month as a win.  No issues with my baseline today –  Check!.

– Summary
:  Early workout, but not easy workout.  The Stamina Builder is a friggin’ burner.  I am pretty tapped right now, but that is good.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Stamina Builder” – Really intense workout.  Just as the name implies, it is a stamina builder and it certainly is  – Check!.
– Daily Dare (200): “60 Sec Side Leg Raise Hold” –  Needless to say this was pretty intense.  Holding at 90 deg is almost impossible for me – Check!.
– Baseline: This is was easy part of today’s exercise; got through it quite easily with issues –  Check!.
– Distance:  Added  6.51 mi to my total on my way to Boise.

:  EWeird day working out.  I got it done early but I ended up dragging out a bit.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Carpe Diem” – This was a pretty intense series that complimented the rest of the baseline quite well – Check!.
– Daily Dare (199): “2 Min Half Jacks–  These are relatively easy.  Jacks are one of my favorite exercise.  I just like jumping around – Check!.
– Baseline: Not much to say here – I came – I saw – I did – no problem –  Check!.

:  Enjoyed today’s workout it was too intense but it did push me to the limit with the Yoga part
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Yoga Fix” – This Yoga stuff literally kicked my a**.  I need to become better at this, but one thing at a time – Check!.
– Daily Dare (198): “30 Sec Squat Hold–  As if my legs need more to scream at after yesterday jump squats and then reverse plank leg raises – Check!.
– Baseline: Pretty straight forward not tricks.  Got through baseline quite easily with no issue –  Check!.

:  All around great day.  Finished working out early but as I write these words, I still have my steps to go and mileage to get done.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Rowdy” – Not too bad.  I worked it in quite nicely with my other baseline items and it worked out alright – Check!.
– Daily Dare (197): “40 Reverse Plank Leg Raises” –  Terrible on the leg, especially after a bunch of squats  – Check!.
– Baseline:  Not bad at all.  Worked it in and somehow they are going by pretty nicely.  No issues at all – Check!.
– Distance:  Added  6.53 mi to my total on my way to Boise.

:  Slipped into a late workout today – really don’t like working out late.  It just feels like everything isn’t done.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Colossus” – Another really good workout today again.  Good amount of baseline, but it is  a bit challenging – Check!.
– Daily Dare (196): “Alternating Arm/Leg Raises” –  Not too bad, the balance was a bit off but otherwise fine  – Check!..
– Baseline:  Fair amount of WOD worked into today’s.  No issues at all – Check!.

:  Today was almost a prefect workout day.  I was through with my entire workout – WOD, baseline and steps/distance by 1600 – awesome me.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Bat Outta Hell” – Really good workout today.  It added lots to my baseline and gave me a bit of a challenge – Check!.
– Daily Dare (195): “60 Sec Raised Elbow Plank” –  Missed being the el numero uno, but I like them as good support to the core  – Check!.
– Baseline:  Like yesterday, today’s WOD was a good supplement to my baseline.  Had no issues at all – Check!.
– Distance:  Added  7.40 mi to my total on my way to Boise.

DAY 24 [JAN 24] – Day 295 of 300

– Summary
:  On a pretty relaxed workout schedule right now.  Drawing to the end of the month then I am gonna be on a program; can’t wait.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Crop Top Workout” – Not too back, actually.  Nice core workout that contributed much to my baseline – Check!.
– Daily Dare (194): “2 min Bounce on the Spot” – The second day for a time event.  This was relatively easy too – Check!.
– Baseline:  Lots of help today from WOD so I can’t complain at all.  No issues – Check!.
– Distance:  Added  5.57 mi to my total on my way to Boise.

:  Really easy day with not much to worry about but get my workout done and chill.  Wonder what tomorrow holds.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Tempered Steel” – Relatively easy workout, no complains here tho, it kept me on track and maintaining – Check!.
– Daily Dare (193): “2Min Overhead Punches” –  I like these, but they are too easy unless you speed them up or add big numbers to them  – Check!.
– Baseline:  No help here again from the WOD, but it was relatively easy to push through.  No issues – Ck!.

:  Nice workout today.  Got in really early and now I am waiting to get my steps in.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “The Sizzler” – Yep! I would put this on the spectrum of pretty easy again.  Zipped through it without much effort – Check!.
– Daily Dare (192): “40 Knee Rolls” –  Not that bad.  Fell a bit of a twinge in my back but it was not that bad. – Check!.
– Baseline:  Just pushed through with no issue.  This is starting to become pretty easy.  Not much help from WOD  – Check!.

:  Pretty easy workout today but no complaints here.  Knocked it out and got on with it.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Sitting Fix” – Pretty easy run through workout.  Just a few easy stretches, good down day really – Check!.
– Daily Dare (191): “40 Sitting Twists” –  Got these done on the ground at Uncle Willie.  Pretty good to see him, although hard to hold conv. – Check!.
– Baseline:  No much pressure getting it done – Check!.

:  Got back from Ocala late and started late, but knocked it out.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Rundown” – Pretty good workout.  the only issue I have was the dynamic side plank tilt – did a hold instead – Check!.
– Daily Dare (190): “40 Front Kicks” –  Not too bad.  Had to wait around for it but got it done – Check!.
– Baseline:  Got it and took care of it with no issues – Check!.

:  Excellent!  I am finished with the major part, just need to meet step.  Heading to Ocala, so not much time.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Reconstructor” – Pretty good workout.  the only issue I have was the dynamic side plank tilt – did a hold instead – Check!.
– Daily Dare (189): “20 Jump Squats” –  Like push up, I am starting to like squats now; it is a bit hard on the knees, but I am liking it still – Check!.
– Baseline:  Not much going on here.  Knocked it out without issue – Check!.

:  Not a bad workout today, especially after the news.  I am getting through without issue, the steps are taking a while, need treadmill time.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Killer Core” – Not really a big issue for me – this.  My core is relatively sharpe.  I don’t do a lot of plank though – Check!.
– Daily Dare (188): “40 Side Plank Rotations” –  This was not easy.  Had to start focusing on balancing, especially after 15 or so – Check!.
– Baseline:  Did not really notice the pain today, got through with out issue today – Check!.

:  Still trying to keep early is good, but I seem to have good intentions and then something happen to distract.  Need to focus on this.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Rascal” – Not too demanding,  I was able to work it in quite comfortably with other exercises; I like it – Check!.
– Daily Dare (187): “20 Dragon Push Ups” –  NOt especially hard by itself, but after doing 120 pushups, this could present a bit of a problem – Check!.
– Baseline:  I am having a slight pain in the left knee but pretty good otherwise – Check!.

DAY 16 [JAN 16] – Day 287 of 300

:  Pretty early but not on the rise.  Got done with the major around 1600, just had to do the mileage and done.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Raw Grit” – Actually pretty good set today.  It was a bit hard on the knees with squats, but deep squats are ok – Check!.
– Daily Dare (186): “30 Glute Flexes” – This is probably one of the hardest DD I have done.  It is hard as hell balls – Check!.
– Baseline: Just push through these.  No issues  – Check!.

:  Yep, I am on a get up and go drive now baby.  Two days in a row, I was through my routine pretty early – what will tomorrow be…we’ll see
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “DNR” – A bit more intense than previous day, primarily because of the strain on the knees from the jump squats – Check!.
– Daily Dare (185): “40 Standing W-Extensions” – I was a bit late to this, but it was relatively easy so I quickly knocked it out – Check!.
– Baseline: Push through early and go it done – Son.  No issues  – Check!.

– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Refresh” – Not at all intense in anyway shape or form.  Pretty ok to get a light day to just take a breather – Check!.
– Daily Dare (185): “40 Hook Kicks” – Had to do this over because I mistook the form.  It was a pretty good movement tho, will go to baseline  – Check!.
– Baseline: Got it done early, no issue  – Check!.

– Summary
: Talk about getting it done early.  The WOD today was really easy, so I could knock it out in a few minutes, main focus is baseline then.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Refresh” – Not at all intense in anyway shape or form.  Pretty ok to get a light day to just take a breather – Check!.
– Daily Dare (184): “20 Push ups with Rotations” – That was freaking awesome!  I love pushups now.  This added variation was on fleek  – Check!.
– Baseline: Continuing the good push, no issue  – Check!.

: Got in and got out today; took just over 30mins to run through the exercises today
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Iron Bar” – Intense exercise, especially near the end of the sequence, especially during 2nd sequence – Check!.
– Daily Dare (183): “2 min Arm Extensions” – Not too easy, had the shoulder screaming out a bit – Check!.
– Baseline: Good day, no issue  – Check!.
– Distance:  Added 6.61 mi to my total on my way to Boise.

: Not too bad workout.  Not really that intense overall, but have been preoccupied with a whole bunch of other stuff.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Booty Builder” – Pretty easy on the front end, but got increasingly hard as you got into the side raises  – Check!.
— Daily Dare (182): “20 Butt Ups” – This was really a fun one; enjoyed it quite a bit – Check!.
– Baseline: No problem as usual; not sure what else to say with these – Check!.

– Summary
: Not too bad workout.  Not really that intense overall, but have been preoccupied with getting a whole bunch of other stuff that I need to take care of done.
– DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Burn Off” – Lots of high knees and arm action this helped out the baseline quite a bit not that challenging  – Check!.
– Daily Dare (181): “2 Min Side Elbow Plank” – This is a really cool plank.  I actually like it vs the regular, as it puts less stress on the  – Check!.
– Baseline: Push through them as usual now issue at all – Check!.

Summary
: Another good workout day babee.  Got finished well ahead of late time so I can cruise into the night.  Oh, I forgot to state here that I was number 1 this past weekend for steps in the 80k category.  I will likely not leaving this rung anytime soon.    DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Super Switch” – This was not complicated nor really challenging.  It was alright tho, I got in my curls and pushups. – Check!.
   Daily Dare (180)60 Sec Hooks” – I really like these.  I can feel them in my upper body and I can feel the abs and legs playing in the movement as well.  Really good full body engagement – Check!.  Baseline: Got them done no issue – Ck!.   Distance:  Added 6.22 mi to my total on my way to Boise.  Rest: I will get 6 hours of sleep each night!  Ciao!


DAY 8 [JAN 8] – Day 279 of 300
Distance: 38.67 + 5.56 = 44.23  (LA-OK-ID Run: 1957.86)

Summary
: Yep, good workout.  Got it in early so that I could go eating with the family.  Now it is just a matter of finishing up my cardio to complete the day and then move on to other things.   DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “No Tomorrow” – This was relatively simple.  The only sort of challenging part was the plank hold which I held for a 60 vs 20 secs.  Other than that too easy and it aided the baseline as well – here – Check!.
   Daily Dare (179)20 Matrix Tilts” – Not easy at all.  Did some high knees and jumping jacks to get the blood pumping before doing these.  They do put quite a bit of strain on the knees – Check!.  Baseline: As usual, getting it done to without worries – no issues – Check!.   Distance:  Added 5.56 mi to my total on my way to Boise.  Rest: I will get 6 hours of sleep each night!  Ciao!

Summary
: Good workout.  A bit on the late side, which puts pressure on getting things done, but I did achieve quite a few things today.  DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Echo” – This is a full body workout that is not too intense. The biggest challenge was on the knee, but otherwise it was quite doable. indeed – here – Check!.
   Daily Dare (178):  “20 Up and Down Planks” – This a really good exercise for pushing your entire upper body.  Working in a push up with a planking move is pretty awesome. – Check!.  Baseline: No worries, just getting it done with no issues – Check!.   Distance:  Added 5.72 mi to my total on my way to Boise.  Rest: I will get 6 hours of sleep each night!  Ciao!

Summary
: Pretty ok workout today.  I am trying to finish up early today and start working on meeting with Comis.    DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Body Flow” – Big caveat up front – this is not suitable for beginners.  I haven’t done yoga in a while but damn, this stuff is hard.  It just goes to show how inflexible I am.  I struggle to get it in and in fact have dropped my stretches in recent weeks.  At any rate, I did most of the positions ok, but others – not so much.  I will have to get better at this – here – Check!.
   Daily Dare (177):  “20 Stacked Push Ups” – I have come to appreciate push up so much.  I really like this most complete of exercises – Check!.  Baseline: Just continuing to work the plan – no issues – Check!.   Distance:  Added 6.10 mi to my total on my way to Boise.  Rest: I will get 6 hours of sleep each night!  Ciao!

: Getting back into the rhythm of being back home.  Will have to change up the routine a bit base on a piece I just read.  Need to free up time a bit and not be such a slave to the process.  I don’t know, it has become such a part of my life.  DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “100 Pushups” – Not a bad routing.  I especially like the way it is mixed up with shoulder taps, which keeps the strain on the shoulder, and punches with continues that strain in a different plain.    Daily Dare (176):  “2 Min Punches” – Pretty matter of fact, nothing to really write home about here; just a bunch of punches- Check!.  Baseline: Just continuing to push through the daily baseline push – no issues – Check!.   Distance:  Added 5.80 mi to my total on my way to Boise.  Rest: I will get 6 hours of sleep each night!  Ciao!


DAY 4 [JAN 4] – Day 275 of 300
Distance: 15.25 + 5.80 = 21.05  (LA-OK-ID Run: 1932.31)

Daily Dares:  30 Sec Burpee with a Jump
Summary
: Back home and trying to get up the will to workout.  It is freezing in the house my heart is aching but I must push on.  I will need to do a bit of meditation to work though my brain and silence any negative thoughts.  DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Size Down” – Pretty interesting workout.  It gave a lot to my daily baseline so that was good.  I thought the burpees would be rougher given that I just had to do some for the DD but it was aiiight  – here – Check!.
   Daily Dare (175):  “30 Sec Burpees with a Jump” – A bit challenging but easy enough not to force the system into overdrive – Check!.   Baseline: No issues, still just plugging away – Check!.   Distance:  Added 5.80 mi to my total on my way to Boise.  Rest: I will get 6 hours of sleep each night!  Ciao!

Distance: 12.45 + 2.80 = 15.25  (LA-OK-ID Run: 1926.51)

Summary
: I began this log somewhere in MIssissippi (somewhere on HWY 59), on my way home from Benton – These will be short because I barely have time to get my workout in much less to log it.  DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Beginner’s Abs” – Was not able to work all the movement as presented again, but did work similar through the full range of motion – here – Check!.
   Daily Dare (174):  “50 Squats” – Squats have always been the most challenging for me, but I think I have mastered them now – but lets’ say, I am respectful – Check!.   Baseline: No issues, still just plugging away – Check!.   Distance:  Added 2.80 mi to my total on my way to Boise.  Rest: I will get 6 hours of sleep each night!  Ciao!

Distance: 5.98 + 6.47 = 12.45  (LA-OK-ID Run: 1923.71)

Summary
: This is third day logging from Benton – These will be short because I barely have time to get my workout in much less to log it  .DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Top of the World” – Did not do them in the order presented but did beyond what level 3 would require and then some –  here – Check!.
   Daily Dare (173):  “2 min Elbow Plank” – Not exactly easy, but I could feel the burn.  Need to start working on this a bit more; the only area I did not meet my goal for 2017…wasn’t pay close enuff attention to this – Check!.   Baseline: No issues, just plugged away – Check!.   Distance:  Added 6.47 mi to my total on my way to Boise.  Rest: I will get 6 hours of sleep each night!  Ciao!

DareBee Exercise (WOD): is “Jump Start” –  Really cool workout.  It was relatively challenging but quite doable indeed –  here – Check!.   Daily Dare (172):  “2 min March Step” – Yet another relatively easy evolution – Check!.   Baseline: Not issues here whatsoever – Check!.   Distance:  Added 5.98 mi to my total on my way to Boise.  Rest: I will get 6 hours of sleep each night!  Ciao!
