Grief is a normal and healthy reaction that occurs when you lose someone or something important. Although it is possible to delay or postpone grieving, it is not possible to avoid grieving altogether.
Grief will subside over time. However, the grieving process does not happen in a step-by-step or orderly fashion. Give yourself all the time you need to identify, accept, and express your emotions.
Your feelings are unique. Each person handles emotions and feelings differently. Find the way to deal with your emotions that fits you.
Support is important during the grieving process. Support comes in many forms, such as from friends and family, by participating in activities you enjoy, or through exercises to help you express your feelings, such as writing letters or keeping a journal.
N-Sync is one of the most soulful boys groups coming out of the 1990s. Â I really liked a lot of what they did back then, although it was tough when you have to measure up against the like of Boys to Men. Â At any rate this is one of my all time favorite. Â You will see that even if you don’t understand Spanish…the Spanish version of the song translate emotionally as well.
I first posted the below video last year at a time when I was feeling a bit nostalgic about the ’80s.  I truly believe that there are few things in life that are most important.  I believe that love is the most important and strongest emotion, feeling (call it whatever you want) in all of existence.  I believe if you have ever experience what it means to truly love and connect with other human beings, you cannot help experiencing sadness.  Because true sadness only comes when we are separated from the ones we TRULY love.  I can testify to this, because it has been  my existence…and something that I know quite well (spent several tours away from home in distant lands) .

I really feeling pretty nostalgic right now. Â I ran across Sinead yesterday and pull this song up and listened to it about a million times. Â It has so many deep meanings. Â This song is one of the purest songs ever made. Â Her eyes are absolutely honest…absolutely honest.
Narrative: (Duration – 53mins)
Day number 6; Today was the first time I have been back on the road in nearly 6 months. It felt ok, although a little strange. I did not go for too much, just a slow 4 miler. Body feels pretty good, although I am still a bit sluggish, as is to be expected after an extended layoff. Â Kicked some push ups in between cycles to get the blood pumping. Still focusing on getting the body back used to movement, will increase constant intensity over time. Good livin’…just keep on movin’
Narrative: (Duration – 72mins)
Day number 5; Today was another good torcher day, more or less maintained the intensity from last workout.  Cardio continues to improve steadily.  I also continue to add movement exercise into the mix; no weightlifting at this point, besides a couple of 35lbs in my obliques. Also, focus continue to be working resistance vs speed.  I will work speed into the mix later.  Good livin’…just keep on movin’
From this moment is a beautiful song of pure emotional connection and the promise of endless love. Â I love whatever Shania sings, but this particular song has a tremendous amount of meaning for me. Â Click here to watch the video or scroll down to see it at the bottom of the page.
Shania Twain is undoubtedly not only one of the most beautiful women of our generation, she is extremely talented and has managed (knock on wood) to last  for a very long time in our collective consciousness as a gifted artist…did I already mention, she is beautiful.
Narrative: (Duration – 72mins)
Day number 4; Today was a torcher, kicked it up a few notches. Â Cardio is still a long way off, so I am not saying that I am where I need to be yet. Â Â I also included a few exercises as well. Â Did not make much mileage, but resistance was up. Â Good livin’…just keep on movin’
Narrative: (Duration – 60min)
Day number 3; I have been on the road over the last week so I have missed a few day. Â At any rate, I jumped in and up the intensity a bit by upping my time to 60mins. Â I would usually continue with 30mins and then move to 45mins, but I am feeling that I have to move it up. Â So the workout was ok. Â I did not include anything beyond the cardio this time around. Â Will include other movements tomorrow. Â Good livin’…just keep on movin’
Narrative: (Duration – 30min)
Day number 2; upped the intensity just a smidgin,  felt ok.  Two down…many more to go.  Will be working primarily cardio for the next few weeks until the body start to recognize what the heck is going on.  Good livin’…just keep on movin’
Okay, the lady I call mother, and someone I adore without limits, has been living in Allentown, Pennsylvania for sometime now, but I have never visited the place.  Partly because it is so darn far and out of the way, but mostly because I was always deployed and running around the world.  Now that I am more stable…well sort of (keep fingers crossed), I have no reason not to try and make it.  Truth be told, I would rather if she was back in warmer climes, but the choice is hers.
The awesome thing is, this will be first trip with my boy Marcus. Â I have thought of trips such as these with him ever since he was a mere tot; this is almost like a dream come true. Â We will be hanging out for a full week, traveling along the eastern seaboard up to Pennsylvania. Â I will definitely try to make near daily updates here over the next few days to chronicle what things we do. Â One of the biggie is going into New York City to Time Square, Central Park and Museum of Natural History. Â Not sure if we will get to all of that, but we sure will try. Â Wish us luck…yes?
Narrative: (Duration – 30min)
Oh yeah…first real workout after an extended hiatus. Had several injuries in the latter part of 2011; nothing serious, but annoying enough to keep me on the sideline a bit. Â But now, I am ready to go back to war. Â I am not gonna force anything. Â I am just gonna ease myself back into it. Â So I had a light intensity 30 minute cardio workout this afternoon. Â Got up this morning and was all jazzed up to go, but I pushed it to the afternoon.
My Comments:
I consider myself pretty apolitical. Â While fiscally conservative, I believe all things social should be left up to the individual, unless it infringes others enjoyment of their rights. Â I thinks this video was well done and is quite a mark for the current president. Â I do remember darker days…now things are indeed looking up a bit. Sometimes I see things no one else can
Sometimes I say things that I don’t understand
Feels like I’m screaming in the middle of a crowded room
No one looks up, no one cares, no one even moves
And I’m all by myself (more…)
This song is one of my favorite song from the 1990s. Â It is both emotionally pure and honesty, much like most of the songs by Toni. Â She bares her heart in this and all her songs. Â This song is both hopeful and sad, but at its heart is love revealed in its deepest and truest sense. Â Click here to see video
Toni Braxton is one of the most sultry and emotionally deep singer of all times. Â Her songs have a certain rare emotional honesty. Â She is as great a singer as she is beautiful.
My Comments: Wow! 21.5 inches?!! Now that is short. Â I am always perplexed by this type of information. Â Where has this guys been all his life, he certainly did not just become the shortest man on earth, in fact, he looks to be quite advanced in age. Â At any rate, pretty interesting stuff.
Click to see the videoI suppose one way of dealing with the passing of someone is to simply relive their moments or memories in your head. Â I can’t get over this song by Whitney – It has so many meanings and memories to me personally. Â Gone too soon.
Yeah – I know I have highlighted this song already, but it is one of my favorites…
I could not help but posting this tribute to Whitney done by this awesome female – Shelea Frazier.  She sings many of Whitney Houston’s biggest hits in one take, no auto tune, no edits…she is simply as close to Whitney as I have heard…she is awesome!  Click here to see the videos or scroll down below.

My Comments: Really loved the trip that this read took me on. Â As an almost full retiree myself, these are sage words for me. Â Ernie Zelinski captured the essence of what I think retirement should be. Â Â Hopefully, when I fully retire for good in 5 years or less, I will get a chance to do all the thinks I dream of. Â
Summary: In a small North Carolina town, one man struggles to save his family after America loses a war that will send it back to the Dark Ages.
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon – the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) – which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States, literally within one second.
This book, set in a typical American town, is a dire warning of what might be our future and our end.
My Comments: At first I thought that this was going to be a long read, but it turned out quite good. Â I am not a big fiction reader per se, but this really give you something to think about. Â The fact that it is also possibly, although not likely, add to the mystique of it. Â Really enjoyed it. I recommend it.
Swapping your soda for water — or at least diet soda — really can help you shed a few pounds, a new clinical trial finds.
A common piece of advice in the battle of the bulge is to replace sugar-sweetened drinks with water or other calorie-free thirst quenchers.
But while that advice is logical, there hasn’t been research to show whether changing your drinking habits alone actually works.
So for the new study, researchers randomly assigned 318 overweight adults to one of three groups: one that replaced sugary drinks with water; one that substituted with diet beverages; and one that was given weight-loss advice and could make diet changes of their choice.
After six months, all three groups lost four or five pounds, on average.
But the two groups that cut sugary drinks were more likely to shed at least five percent of their starting weight: 20 percent did, versus 11 percent of the comparison group.
My Comments: This absolutely works. Â If you cut out sugary drinks and drink water or even use sugar substitutes such as Splenda is a big positive. Â It absolutely helps in losing weight and keep it off.
This is one of the saddest days I have known.  The funny thing about it is while I am not surprised about this outcome, I am just so pissed off.  I know we are all responsible for our actions, and Whitney was no saint, but in many ways she is.  She fell in love with an absolute figgin  little son of a —- who destroyed her.  The two lessons here is – 1.  Love is the most powerful emotion and 2.  one can be destroyed by those closest to them and 3.  there are angels
Whitney’s voice is a national treasure of the U.S. Â There has being no voice like hers in my life time and I don’t think I will live long enough to see another like her. Â To that which has created all things, accept her in warmth.

When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world in on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love
When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love (more…)
On June 30, 2009, the bodies of three teenaged girls and a 50-year-old woman were found in a car submerged in the Kingston Mill Locks.
They were identified as 19-year-old Zainab Shafia, 17-year-old Sahar Shafia, 13-year-old Geeti Shafia and Rona Amir Mohammad, their father’s first wife in his polygamous marriage.
The girls, who were born in Afghanistan and moved to Montreal in 2007, were returning home from a family road trip to Niagara Falls.
The deaths were initially considered an accident. An autopsy determined their cause of death to be drowning.
My Comments: In this day and age, what culture would give a man the authority to kill his wife and 3 daughters.  What egotistical, self-centered, Bull-Sh…. is this?  Four beautiful women taken out because of some prideful @$$.  One can only hope that he will get what’s coming to him.  Totally wicked and senseless…senseless!
