I am an avid reader of all things Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins. I totally enjoy their frank and clear point of view regarding religion, philosophy and meaning of life. Here Sam gives a pretty good laydown on how much we waste time always hoping for future when we never get to meet it.
Our hearts broke on Friday as we learned of the tragic and senseless deaths of 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
Last night, President Obama addressed the families of Newtown, offering the love and prayers of a nation, and vowing to use whatever power his office holds to protect our children from such unthinkable acts of violence.
My Comments:
I consider myself pretty apolitical. Â While fiscally conservative, I believe all things social should be left up to the individual, unless it infringes others enjoyment of their rights. Â I thinks this video was well done and is quite a mark for the current president. Â I do remember darker days…now things are indeed looking up a bit. This song is one of my favorite song from the 1990s. Â It is both emotionally pure and honesty, much like most of the songs by Toni. Â She bares her heart in this and all her songs. Toni Braxton is one of the most sultry and emotionally deep singer of all times. Â Her songs have a certain rare emotional honesty. Â She is as great a singer as she is beautiful.
