Analysts Accuse CENTCOM of Covering Up Cooked ISIS Intelligence

Allegations are mounting that senior intelligence officials at Central Command not only skewed findings on the ISIS war to please D.C., but tried to hide what they did.

In July, a group of intelligence analysts at the U.S. military’s Central Command accused their bosses of distorting and selectively editing intelligence reports about the fight against ISIS in order to portray that campaign as more successful than it really was. As a result of those complaints, the Pentagon’s inspector general opened an investigation.

My Comments: This is bad juju.  It appears Greg is being served up for this.

Black Army officers struggle to climb ranks

Gen-Lloyd
The Army’s 2016 class of commanders for 31 of its top combat units has one black officer, a trend that the service is seeking to reverse with limited success.

The 2016 list of commanders for Army infantry, artillery and armor combat brigades and battalions shows black officers continue to struggle to gain a foothold in the units that serve as the primary training ground for senior leaders.

Six black officers out of 82 will lead battalions, which are 800- to 1,000-soldier components of brigades, according to the list, which was obtained by USA Today. But only one of the 31 combat brigades getting new commanders, the list shows, will have an African-American colonel in charge.

My Comments:  This is not just an Army problem, it is a Navy problems as well; in fact, I would extrapolate that it is a rampant if not carefully guarded secret problem across all services.  More to be said on this at another time.

China’s trapped transition

China’s trapped transition

In 2006, Chinese American scholar Minxin Pei published a book called “China’s Trapped Transition.” In it, he invoked the most established “law” in political science — that over time, countries that grow economically tend to become more democratic. (Oil-rich states are the exception.) China had achieved decades of growth, Pei pointed out, yet had made almost no moves toward openness…Read more

My Comments:
I consider myself pretty apolitical.  While fiscally conservative, I believe all things social should be left up to the individual, unless it infringes others enjoyment of their rights.  I thinks this video was well done and is quite a mark for the current president.  I do remember darker days…now things are indeed looking up a bit.  Scroll down to view his 17 minute video or click here

You have got to be freaking kidding me.  These folks cannot be serious.  I am sure in some delusional way this makes perfect sense, but it is unbelievable.  A total mind-F#$$% of a population.  I am now a believer…Little Kim is really “the man”.

Bahrain opposition unites to decry "police state"

Bahrain opposition unites to decry "police state"

In a defiant show of unity, Bahrain opposition parties have jointly denounced the Sunni-ruled Gulf Arab island as a police state and demanded a transition to a constitutional monarchy.

Five groups, including the main Shi’ite party Wefaq and the secular Waad party, vowed to keep up a pro-democracy campaign with peaceful rallies and marches — despite a Saudi-backed government crackdown that crushed similar protests in March.

In their “Manama Document,” the first such joint statement since the unrest, the opposition groups said Bahrain was a police state akin to those that prevailed in Egypt and Tunisia before popular uprisings swept their leaders from power.

I don’t think that this is a bad idea for the “lower Kingdom”; I am not convinced that democracy is consistent with the culture…I could be convinced however.Â
