These quotes all say the same thing. No matter how many obstacles you run into, what matters is that you’re able to overcome each of them, one at a time.
“Two steps forward, one step back” is usually a negative term to describe someone who is having trouble making progress. But switched around, “1 Step Back, 2 Steps Forward” means that instead of grousing or feeling guilty about a misstep, you can still come out ahead if you put your head down and push forward.

ERIC STATLER’S WISDOMÂ teeth were impacted. Inconvenient, sure, but certainly not life threatening. As general manager of a hotel in Idaho’s picturesque Clearwater County, Statler spent his 12-hour days charming and chatting up guests, which meant he couldn’t afford a week of bloated cheeks and Percocet. Nor, given his myriad responsibilities at the hotel, did Statler feel he could justify time off for at-home recovery. So he procrastinated until the pain was almost unbearable and eating a turkey sandwich felt like chewing tacks.
Two months after he finally underwent the operation, Statler was still waiting for relief—his molars were gone but the pain remained. Not only did he find it excruciating to chew, but now he was losing weight and beginning to feel emotionally beat down. He decided to return to his dentist, who sent him to a local ear, nose, and throat specialist the same day. The ENT needed just minutes to solve the mystery: He took one look at Statler and said, “Son, I think you have cancer.”

For some people with troublesome, unexplained body odor, an uncommon genetic disorder once known as “fish-odor syndrome” may be to blame, according to a study.
The condition, known clinically as trimethylaminuria, is caused by emitting excessive amounts of the compound trimethylamine (TMA). TMA is produced when people digest foods rich in a substance called choline — including saltwater fish, eggs, liver and certain legumes, such as soy and kidney beans.
“Individuals with the metabolic disorder trimethylaminuria may sporadically produce malodors despite good hygiene,” wrote study leader Paul Wise, at Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia, in the American Journal of Medicine.
“The psychosocial impact of trimethylaminuria may be considerable. However, trimethylaminuria is difficult to diagnose without specialized tests.”

YOU CAN’T GO ANYWHERE WITHOUT being confronted by calories. Restaurants now print calorie counts on menus. You go to the supermarket and there they are, stamped on every box and bottle. You hop on the treadmill and watch your “calories burned” click upward.
But just what are calories? The more calories we take in, the more flab we add—and if we cut back on them, then flab starts to recede too, right? After all, at face value, calories seem to be the factor by which all foods should be judged. But if that were true, 500 calories of parsnips would equal 500 calories of Double Stuf Oreos. Weight training is touted as the cure for many ills. But if the goal is to lose belly fat, aerobic exercise is the only way to go, exercise scientists say.
We’re not talking about muffin tops, the annoying bit of pudge that rolls over a woman’s waistline and is featured in those strange Internet ads. Rather, this is gut fat lodged around internal organs, which could look like a beer belly from the outisde. It’s considered a risk factor for diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
Surprisingly little research has been done comparing the health benefits of strength training with weights to aerobic exercise such as walking. But that’s just what researchers at Duke University did.

I am just blown away by the size of some of these bellies that I see displayed by some men. If I had such a gut…dude…I would definitely put that thing away.Â
On a serious tip, I wholeheartedly agree with the cardio push to cut the gut.  You might not get a six-pack with just cardio, your diet will have to figure in somewhere on that.

My Comments:
No love loss here. Â I am an adamant anti-obesity supporter. Â I don’t think we necessarily need to tax the food, I think we need to charge people over a certain weight a fat tax. Â I know some of my fat-challenged friend are gonna come at me for saying this, but why tax the food, when you can eat it responsibly and done bulk-out. Â I think that is unfair. Â Tax those who don’t want to workout to keep healthy.Â
