Compare to how some of my other days have been, I really needed a day like today. It was not exactly relaxing, but it was free of alot of the regular distractions.
This weekend is MLK Day weekend. Great!, since I am working and most other people aren’t , then I suppose won’t have to deal with much in the way of dealing with other. Not that I mind, but ….well, you just have to know the folks in my neck of the woods.

Is it just me or are we just one damn stupid and arrogant country? Woke up this morning to the news that the president is thinking about spending billions to put man back on the moon and ….yeah…Mars await.
Okay. When I was like friggin 5 years old, that was a very appealing story, but the state of affairs here on Earth (and by the way, I think we still live here) is such that billions of people are wallowing in unforgivable miserable poverty. And the grandest thought we can come up with is ….yeah…why don’t we go to the damn moon. And by the way, who cares about the deficit anyway?…jobs…smobs.
There is no politics here folks….this is straight up dumb-ass shit!
Here is a novel idea….brace yourselves – why don’t we, so called rich country, genuinely set a course to eradicate Malaria around the world…no…no….no..let’s start with getting everybody clean drinking water or maybe friggin’ food for crying out loud!.
Why is it that some rich folks, without a care in the world, always come up with some of the dumbest shit humanly possible? Maybe someone needs to take Mr President down to Louisianna or Southern Mississippi, not to mention Namibia, the Congo or the Phillipines and show him how barren prosperity is there.
Sure, it is not just America’s problem to fix the world, but such thinking shows how far some of us who inhabit this little piece of rock in space is from what’s actually going on here.
Not really an up day or fully a down day – meeting this morn was fine – no major bufaw…pretty tired tho. Need to go get some rest. Have to workout later too.
Oh by the way – still have not gotten my friggin’ car after 3 months – that’s a pisser.
