2025: MementoMori-11

Retrospective Log:
November 1-30, 2025: I am now 3104 Days (approximately: 7 Years, 10 Month – LINK) and just so proud of what I have accomplished with maintaining my workout streak.
Just to clarify (Sticky!): My workout streak is that I do something active each day. I always do my Dailies and in addition – run, walk, row, cycle but usually run and walk, and depending on the day, I lift – upper body, lower body, or some type of hybrid. This is my long term program and I have been at it now religiously since around 2016 in earnest.
I am off this month by a day. Today, is actually the 2nd of December and so I am happy that I can press to get this done. I hope I can keep landing within this zone each month and not push it off until it become meaningless or closer to the truth – I forget.
AREA 1:
Body:
**Injuries/Aches (B-): I am gonna keep it at B-. I had a new injury this month – my left pinky got a strain during my lower body session about 2 weeks ago. It has stubbornly been hanging on. It doesn’t bother me outside the gym, but the first time I curl my fingers around the bar at the gym it barks at me. I will continue to watch it. My right shoulder continues to challenge, but that has been a part of my story for some time now. I have managed to take my time in the gym, listened to my body and not push too far, too fast and so I think that is helping.
**Routine (B): I moved up this month to a B. My routine is not perfect. I am getting good gym time in, but I need to work more productively on the items I need to get done out of the gym. I will be focusing over the next month on streamlining as much as possible so I can start the new year with a set of goals with a routine to achieve them.
**Physical (A-): Another good month. I am going to leave it at A- though, I don’t see any sizeable improve, so no point in doing so. I did achieve a few PRs this month, but as I mentioned last month, I have consciously slowed down my progress to ensure that I am securing gains before move up in weights. As a result of this new approach, my gains have been coming slower, but I have more confidence that I am where I need to be. My body feels much better as well, since I am getting good rest time.
**Tracked Metrics (B+): – Activities (A-): The numbers here continue to track mostly 100s across the board. I think by design my caloric burn lags because it is not properly aligned but I think it is close to where it needs to be. I might take a closer look at the end of the year to see how I could improve the measurement of this metric. Sleep (B+): This area has really improved in recent months. While this month saw a bit of a pull back compared to last, I am still feeling pretty good about it. Furthermore, I was still pretty close to 90s in this area. I think my creatine and rest protocol is what has improved my rest but I will have to continue to watch it.
**Supplements: There have been a couple of changes that I will highlight: 2x Berberine with meals, Psyllium Husk (fiber), multi-vitamins, B-complex and Magnesium, Lipo NR, Lipomizen , Curcumin, Creatine (10mg).
**Diet: Steady state really. Lots of salad and chicken. My body is not showing any wear for it, so I will continue with this. My focus remains – (From a previous entry: The big focus this year again is on A1c, kidney health, prostate health, cardio health, muscle gain and weight maintenance). I think the addition of Beet Root powder to my morning coffee is paying off big time. My BP has been awesome for quite sometime now. I will continue to watch.
Biomarkers/Medical Check: No labs done this month. Saw the urologist for a check up. Digital was normal. Will be rechecking PSA in January. Also saw the – right eyes is a bit concerning; vision normal. Started on eye latanoprost (?) eye drops as a prophylactic. I will be going in to see my cardiologist and neurologist in the coming day.
Goals:
**Spanish (A-): My streak on Duolingo (1209 Day) 9AUG2022 and Drops (980 Days). I am keeping my streaks going, at least strickly with Duo (I have missed a few with Drops). I was hope to move to B2 by the end of the year in Duo, but that is looking more unlikely as the path has been changed a few times. No worries though. I think the product is getting better so that is a win for me.
**Reading/Listening: I completed the 28+hr – The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Green. It was awesome. Additionally I completed a couple additional listens. So far, my digital diet is outweighing my physical. I do have an obligation to finish the Power of Regret before the end of the year. I started it over 215 days, as of today and I have pushed it to the side. It is not that it is not a good read, I just get taken up by other more interesting reads. I will get it done in the next couple weeks. I promise!

Financials:
I won’t spend much time talking about Tariff – that is boring now and the country none the better for them. The broader Markets have been going sideways for the most part. I belief the DOW and S&P were positive for the month, but the NASDAQ pulled back some. There was a bit of a rally just around the Thanksgiving weekend. AI continues to rule the day. (currently 18.28% YTD and +3.5% over the last month).
Socio/Political:
US: Hegseth is in hot water for order the killing of survivors for one of the alleged drug boat bombing they have been conducting. I hate that guy.
US: The Epstein case still very much in the air.
US: ICE continues to run rampant.
World 1: Stuff starting to heat up the Pacific. China and Japan not liking each other again and Taiwan-China rumblings coming to the fore again.
World 1: Israel-Hamas – there is supposed to be a ceasefire, but Israel keep bombing from time to time
World 3: Ukraine-Russia war continues. Same sh*t different day. White people killing each other.

DareBee
Still have not missed a day of Daily Dare – yup; not a one.
(Kept from previous foreword) – Additionally, I have added a couple layers of complexity or demand to my workout. First, I am religiously sticking to DareBee and the Daily Dare; I am also, keeping the preliminaries. Second, I have added a consecutive component – so, starting with the end of IronBorn (9 April 2017), I have worked consecutively. I intend to push for 60 straight day, then see if I can get to 90. So far I am enjoying it and my body seems to be rising to the occasion. I caught the flu a few day before the end of the last phase (around May 2017) – I worked through it and was back up in only a couple of days. It appears pushing through and forcing my body to continue working, I was able to push the flu out of my way. I am also continuing my virtual push to OKC via Benton. I am really enjoying that but I will have to pick up the mileage here in the next phase as I am running out of time. Keep leaning forward.
