Retrospective Log:
October 1-31, 2025: I am now 3074 Days (approximately: 7 Years, 9 Month – LINK) and still maintaining my workout streak. Just to clarify (Sticky!): My workout streak is that I do something active each day. I always do my Dailies and in addition – run, walk, row, cycle but usually run and walk, and depending on the day, I lift – upper body, lower body, or some type of hybrid. This is my long term program and I have been at it now for several years. I would say 2016 in earnest.
So, I am writing this entry on the 2nd of November. My previous entry had a pretty big gap, so I am trying to at least end the year in good shape. Lots have been going on, so I really don’t want to miss getting some of it down.
AREA 1:
Body:
**Injuries/Aches (B): I was not at all nervous to add an A this month because I can honestly say that until about a week ago I was doing quite well, but, and this is a big but, in the final week of the month I tweaked my back at the end of a dead hang. I did not even know that could happen. I have been dead hanging for sometime but this time at the end of my leg workout day, I went into my routine and even as I write these words, I am still having effects. It sucks. My right shoulder click has also popped up as well. At any rate, I am getting good rest and my regiment should get me back on track soon I hope.
**Routine (B-): I am going move up to a C+ from C- because I have been able to squeeze a bit more in outside of my gym time. It is not perfect, but I am working on it.
**Physical (A-): Pretty good month in this arena. I have continue to notch a few PRs this month. After pulling back over in the previous month, I have established a pretty good routine and have upped my numbers quite a bit. Now, instead of just pushing the numbers up each week, I am breaking things up in going up one week and then using the following week as a consolidation week before moving on. I think this is working for me because it allow my body to heal and adjust before moving up. My right shoulder started irking me a bit in recent days, but I am watching it. As far as my treadmill is concerned – it is back in full service. I was able to replace the walk belt and now it is running quite well. I hope to kick up my cardio in the coming weeks.
**Tracked Metrics (A-): (Ditto to last Month) – I continue to do quite well overall. I am getting in my workouts, eating pretty well (this can always improve). Over the last 4 weeks, as in the previous 8, I have managed to keep my numbers in the 90’s or above. My caloric burn time which continues to lag the rest of the number was 87.76% last month. I mentioned before that I think it is due to efficiency on my part, but I will continue to try and drive that up. Sleep: I have had a massive turnaround in my sleep and my body feels so much better for it. Knock on wood – the last few continue to struggle some here. I don’t feel that bad about it though, I think I am understanding my body more and I just need to apply what I am learning. I have seen improvement already and I will continue to push this metric in the right direction.
**Supplements: There have been a couple of changes that I will highlight: 2x Berberine with meals, Psyllium Husk (fiber), multi-vitamins, B-complex and Magnesium, Lipo NR, Lipomizen , Curcumin, Creatine (10mg).
**Diet: Steady state really. Lots of salad and chicken. My body is not showing any wear for it, so I will continue with this. My focus remains – (From a previous entry: The big focus this year again is on A1c, kidney health, prostate health, cardio health, muscle gain and weight maintenance). I should be getting new blood work here at the start of October, I will be looking at A1C, Kidney, Liver, prostrate and cholesterol. My last lipid numbers were : Total Cholesterol – 213 and HDL – 135.
Got the following Biomarker checked: PSA (4.79 – High), concerning. I will be getting it rechecked in 12 weeks. Lipid Numbers: Total Cholesterol – 196 and HDL – 125. The other lipid numbers were fine. In the coming week – I will be seeing my urologist and opthalmologist. I will report back results here.
Goals:
**Spanish (A-): My streak on Duolingo (1180 Day) 9AUG2022 and Drops (952 Days). I am keeping my streaks going, at least strickly with Duo (I have missed a few with Drops). I was hope to move to B2 by the end of the year in Duo, but that is looking more unlikely as the path has been changed a few times. No worries though. I think the product is getting better so that is a win for me.
**Reading/Listening: I took on another monster listen for this month again. It was a long one – 23+hr. I then started on The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Green which is even longer than my previous listen by him. Regrettably, I still have the Power of Regret hanging out in the background. I promised to finish it in the coming day and have it stop hanging over my head like the sword of Democles.

AREA 2:
Financials:
Markets has not taken any time off over the last month and I am loving it. Inflation, Tariff and Shutdown don’t seem to be having any effect on it. Most of the move is being fueled by AI investement which could come back to bite us. I am not too worried about that though since I am not specifically in on the AI. The fact is that AI exposure is mostly leveraged so in that way it could come back to hurt. Shutdown remains in effect. I really have no idea how this ends because there seems to be no appetite by both parties to give in. At this point we could just consider that folks who are going to work without pay to be ostensibly out of work. (currently 18.28% YTD and +3.5% over the last month).
Socio/Political:
US: DOD is starting to kill alleged drug runners in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean coming out of Latin America.
US: Shutdown remains in effect and the SNAP program is on the ropes with the Courts stepping in.
World 1: Jamaica got hit hard by Hurricane Melissa on the 28OCT2025 with winds in excess of 185mph. 23 dead accounted so far.
World 1: Israel-Hamas apparently had come to a ceasefire mediated by Trump, but the Israelis have already launched attacks into Gaza since.
World 3: Ukraine-Russia war continues. Same sh*t different day. White people killing each other.

Still have not missed a day of Daily Dare – yup; not a one.
(Kept from previous foreword) – Additionally, I have added a couple layers of complexity or demand to my workout. First, I am religiously sticking to DareBee and the Daily Dare; I am also, keeping the preliminaries. Second, I have added a consecutive component – so, starting with the end of IronBorn (9 April 2017), I have worked consecutively. I intend to push for 60 straight day, then see if I can get to 90. So far I am enjoying it and my body seems to be rising to the occasion. I caught the flu a few day before the end of the last phase (around May 2017) – I worked through it and was back up in only a couple of days. It appears pushing through and forcing my body to continue working, I was able to push the flu out of my way. I am also continuing my virtual push to OKC via Benton. I am really enjoying that but I will have to pick up the mileage here in the next phase as I am running out of time. Keep leaning forward.
